Touch, movement, and breath work to dive inward, ground, regulate the nervous system, and tap into your vitality and strength.
Through the body, we experience the world, especially in the early years of our lives.
When the outside world is perceived as threatening, frightening, or simply too much, a disconnection begins to form between us and the body.
The body holds the experience, while awareness… drifts off to other realms. We remain stuck in mental loops. The body is left alone.
This disconnection protects us, but it also anchors chronic tension in the body and blocks access to the intuition and vitality the body is meant to provide.
Somatic therapy reconnects us to the body, to the memories and tension stored within it, so they can be processed and released, allowing the natural life energy to flow, creating a sense of safety and vitality.
We will learn to care for the body the way we care for a baby - with love, attentiveness, patience, and compassion.
What to Expect
Somatic sessions include gentle guided awareness of physical sensations, touch, movement, and breath. We work at your pace to help the nervous system find balance and release held patterns.
In in-person sessions, I may also incorporate gentle touch to support the body in opening and releasing.
In online sessions, I will guide you on how to move, breathe, and where to place touch on specific points and areas to support the body.
